Joe Herrle, CFA, CAIA, joined Goldman Shelby in 2021 and serves as vice president of alternative asset research and is a member of the firm’s investment team. In his role, he manages the firm’s alternative asset strategies and external manager selection.
Prior to joining Goldman Shelby, Joe spent over a decade in San Francisco working for a family office and a multi-asset manager, where he specialized in private company valuations, manager due diligence, and alternative portfolio construction. Earlier in his career, Joe worked as an auditor, where he received a Certified Public Accountant license. Joe is a Portland native and earned his B.S. degree in accounting from the University of Portland Pamplin Business School. He serves on the board of directors for Financial Beginnings Oregon and the CFA Society of Portland.
In his free time, Joe enjoys golfing, traveling and exploring the Pacific Northwest with his wife, two sons and two dogs.
